Abstract
tient's immobilization. Thus, general anesthesia is suggested for these needs. We have experienced an abrupt decrease of blood pressure and heart rate during RFCA under general anesthesia. We diagnosed the case as cardiac tamponade due to vascular perforation by using transthoracic echocardiography. Pericardiocentesis was performed immediately and drain catheter was inserted. The patient was monitored until bleeding stopped. He recovered without any complications. When managing anesthesia for RFCA, we should always be aware of fatal complications that can occur during RFCA under general anesthesia. We must be fully prepared for any critical situation so that immediate action can be taken.
